TODAY’S CATHOLIC CEMETERY FOCUS December 18, 1998
Restored Beauty

by Paul Maldonado

When San Fernando Cemetery III (then Roselawn) opened, one of the most frequented sites was the fountain that sits in the East Side of section 3. Although the fountain has been closed for quite some time, I have continuously been asked when, if ever, was the fountain going to be restored? Well, the time has come. After considerable planning and reconstruction the fountain has been restored to its original beauty. In fact, I believe it's even better than before. Today a beautiful cantera stone fountain has been added. The walls surrounding the fountain are designed as petrified wood, giving the area an ageless look. Some beautiful water plants and special Koi have also been added. I invite you to come and visit and I think you will agree that in this "new" place a person can find peace, solace, to pray and fondly remember their loved ones. We are constantly striving to maintain and improve all of our cemetery locations. We welcome your comments.
