Where can I purchase a memorial (headstone) for my grave spaces?

by Jeanette Martinez

Whenever a family wants to memorialize a relative's grave space, they normally go to a monument dealer to purchase a memorial, or as otherwise known - a headstone.

What many people may not know is that we have our own memorial department right here at San Fernando Cemetery II. It is known as the Catholic Cemeteries Memorial Division (CCMD) and has been in operation for a little less than two years. Although relatively new, the department takes great pride in providing fine detailed work and can accommodate many clients' needs. Sometimes priced slightly higher, many people find the attention to detail and the availability of special design requests well worth the difference. Apart from price, there are some other differences from monument dealers. Our stock of memorial stones is relatively small in comparison so we do have to order our memorials. The waiting period is around 9 to 12 weeks. However, given notice we make special efforts to provide service in time to commemorate holidays and other special dates.
Inquiries are always welcomed. The counselors and staff are always willing to help.
